By default, H5P provides content creators a large array of licenses from to choose that they can apply to their h5p content. However H5P leaves this selection empty initially meaning all content is created without license. We would like to explore the ability to automatically select a license for every piece of content so that there are no unlicensed materials on the Open Hub. We will maintain the ability for content authors to adjust the license from the proposed automatically applied default.
Further potential future additions to this functionality would include the ability for an author to select their own default which can be different to the system-wide default license.
This is going to be a great feature to be added on the site!!
I think it will be nice to default with the most open license (CC-BY) , and then maybe let the user know that they have option to change the default license.
